Importance of Baptism

Acts 2:41-42 (KJV)
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. 42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. Baptism is sadly a doctrine that has diminished in importance to much of Christianity. To refuse or reject baptism after you trust Christ is like refusing the ring of your spouse in a marriage. It is a sign of shame and lack of commitment. If you have trusted Christ, you should be willing to
wear His ring of baptism. No later, but immediately.
